Ideally, this book is the perfect foundation for a parent and child to build upon to get to know the Lord and all His greatness. The companion CD is sold separately and only on the authors’ website, but it would make a wonderful sing-along activity to bring the parent and child closer. The music that accompanies the lyrics is truly poetry-in-motion. Once you push play, you can’t help being caught up in the words as they deliver their deep, heart-felt meaning.

For anyone who seeks to find the perfect book to introduce God into a special child’s life this is the one book you must purchase. You will quickly see how it will bring your family closer together by enriching everyone’s lives. Very highly recommended.

With that said I will introduce myself. I am the admin of this site and nephew to Kenny. I myself have read the book Its a Brand New Day and listened to the CD with my daughter and both she and I absolutely love them. The pictures in the book are wonderful and the words well they are truly amazing and I could not say too much more without taking away that new book excitement but seriously this book was an absolute gift and is something we will cherish for years to come.

The optional CD has 4 excellent tracks on it as well, a few of which I have listened to and even had just run through my head throughout a good portion of my life. Kenny has redone them for this CD and they are just as good if not better than I had remembered them. You may listen to the samples that we have added by clicking here listen to samples

My 82 year old co-author and I don’t make any mention of it in our book but I think it’s worthy of mentioning to good people who would be part of Gather and Winspiration that in spite of losing his daughter LaDonna (my wife and daughter’s mother) to cancer after 17 years of being paralyzed, my partner Donald L. Slater still believes (and so do I) in God’s generosity so much that he wrote a beautiful poem called It’s a Brand New Day and it’s about God’s creation on display.

He handed it to me last Christmas Eve and asked me if I would turn it into a song. I was honored and I started with guitar, then keyboard, more guitar, bass, sang it and built a beautiful song that God allowed to come through me.

Donald was so enthusiastic (literally moved) to see his work transformed into a CD that we decided to turn it into a book to share with the world so I wrote a Life Lessons section on family values that honors the gifts of mothers, fathers, grandparents, veterans and by golly, we are now celebrating this book that honors God and family on our new website. We hope it will bless many thousands of families and we hope parents will take the time to share precious moments together to take in the essence of our little book.

LOVE is the essence of this life. Everything else is a distant second. LOVE is the tool that transforms, adds meaning, binds us together, adds quality to this gift of life. Share it and may your life be wholesome, full of love, light, encouragement and may you take the time to ensure that those you encounter have an abundance of love and hope in their lives too.
